UNWETTER (Jole Wilcke, Ulrike Solbrig)

For The Tourist Syndrom Summer Camp UNWETTER organised a Discursive Picnic in public space next to the Palanga beach and the famous peer. The summer camp participants were asked to bring along texts, ideas, photos and sketches that were assembled and organized into a Try out/Research-Plane during the picnic.

UNWETTER is a Berlin based group of international artists, curators, critics and activists, who has developed collaborative, experimental and participatory practices in a wide-ranging series of events and situations since 2002. Within changeable and open formats UNWETTER connects different contexts in an ongoing process of reciprocal exchange.

Within UNWETTER's Discursive Picnics all participants are simultaneously guest and host. The potluck format encourages all attendees to bring along various contributions and to combine them with the materials unpacked from the UNWETTER thermos-box. Thus, the events possess an improvisational quality. The Discursive Picnic creates a common operational space and provides an informal structure for temporary organization, nomadic performances, and networks of discursive and dialogical relationships among participants.
